Command received but failed to execute

Last Updated: Sep 10, 2012 11:11AM PDT
This message will occur when your SmartStart device receives the command you sent, but the installed system that it is connected to fails to acknowledge that command properly.  This can be caused by any of the following:

1)  A loose or disconnected data cable
2)  A misadjusted hood pin or errant brake signal
3)  Multiple data cables connected to the remote starter simultaneously

In all cases like this we advise you to take the vehicle back to the installer as this is a wiring concern that cannot be fixed over the air.
